Brave The Shave

We know that cancer can turn the world upside down and that’s especially true when it comes to appearance. People with cancer go through hair loss and changes to their appearance that can affect everything from the way they look to how they feel, but they don't have to go through these struggles alone.

Our friend Emily is shaving her head on Saturday to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and donating her hair to The Little Princess Trust; which provides real hair wigs free of charge to boys and girls across the UK and Ireland that have sadly lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other illnesses.

Here is her story:

'In September 2012 my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer. I watched my mum go through chemotherapy and radio therapy causing her to loose her hair and become very ill, which was devastating for her and us as a family. The following year my Aunty was diagnosed with breast cancer, she also lost her hair and had to go through chemotherapy and radio therapy. The support from friends and family during this difficult time was positively overwhelming. This year will mark 5 years since my mum was diagnosed.'

This is an incredible selfless act and as you can see; all that hair will go a long way!
